So...Bonk. Quite nice. Reminds me a Bit of Home, only without the Pointy Hats, and all.

This Carriage business makes me think of my Click days a bit. If something like this had happened in one of them I'd probably be Gone by now. Galloped off on a White Charger. With a sword. I'm not sure what I'd have been meaning to use it for, but it would ( Read more... )

Pointy hats? What pointy hats did you have at home? Wizards? Not even our dear Ponder Stibbons wears his pointy hat here. Instead: corduroy trousers and suspenders and cardigans!! Hahaha!

You're really sweet, you know. And such a pushover! A gentle and basically totally friendly short pudgy wizard in suspenders and cardigan - hah! Positively cuddly in a teddybearish kind of way...

Well, it's just what you are, you know. You're a wizard, and the honorific of "Master" when calling you that you have more than amply earned, judging from how well this PC sysem works.

And thank you again for this device - it is infinitely better to have my own instead of having to ask Margo or Lajos all the time.

No Thanks are necessary. They are appreciated, however. P. C.'s do notte grow on trees.

Yes, I am very glad about the device, Master Wizard.

And I do believe they don't grow on trees: teaching a tree to grow PCs would be much more complicated magic, I am sure, than just making them one by one.

Er...somethinge like that...

Oh - can you teach trees to grow odd things, then? A paintbrush tree would be wonderful idea, and much less difficult. (That was a joke!)

No, infacte, trees do notte worke like that.

Perhaps one can't teach an old tree new tricks. But could you magically grow totally new kinds of trees that produce useful things - above and beyond the useful things like food for mortals that trees already produce? Just curious.

One coulde engineer a tree whiche produces a cross between one thinge ande somethinge else, but you cannotte create somethinge from nothinge.

Of course I can't produce anything from nothing - that's not what I'm suggesting. Paint brushes are made largely from wood anyway, what is what trees produce. The hair or bristle should be doable as well, seeing there are trees that produce hairy stuff. The only problem would be the metal that connects the two (as metal most definitely doesn't grow on trees, and most definitely never will), and then telling the tree which shape to make. I think I may have heard Lajos talk about morphic fields?

I am supposed to be on Holiday, you know...

Ooops, sorry! No morphic fields or weird new ideas on holidays. Certainly.

Did you and your Victor enjoy the hot spring, then? I think I heard somebody there last evening, to say it mildly.

Er...er...did you?

Er...it was...very...nice.

Yes, I thought I heard somebody splashing or so. And as Margo doesn't use it, and Lajos is still gone, I thought it had to be you. And I was right! And there were two of you, and the splashing was only the very beginning when the first pudgy toe hit the bathwater, but never mind, as I find you fatally cute together and would hate to disturb you...

Bonk is justly famous for the hot springs, just as it is for its cooking. I'm glad you enjoyed them. Lajos had meant to show you, he'd said, before he was rudely and selfishly called away.

Oh, never mind, I was painting in my own basement anyway, so I couldn't help noticing there was somebody a few rooms away. But as I was painting anyway, I didn't plan on going there, and didn't mind at all that you were at it a for a large part of the night. The only real point in me going is Lajos anyway, and he's still not back..
