How Hugh unfolded after the end of House, or musings on my second Hugh Laurie concert.
First of all, I disagree: it's not a concert. It's a show, with music, probably his personal vision of a concert, but still, a show. With acting, scripted from beginning to end, with decors, too. A glimpse in the brilliant maze that this man's brain must be.

I've been getting this impression from the photographs and videos, too - it's nice to have that confirmed.
I'm not sure how I feel about that, actually. I think that my psyche will be expecting a *concert*, and will be rather baffled at exactly how tightly scripted it appears to be. I mean, Hugh is a showman, and I'm not opposed to a show - but yet, you're right, a show and a concert are two different animals. I almost feel like Hugh's particular brand of showmanship (ABOFAL) is might be a bit too over-the-top for this music - the rubber-face type stuff just doesn't seem to be a match, you know? I haven't yet been in the room though, so I may feel differently once I've had the whole experience.

I´m very glad you enjoyed the experience. I would have liked to attend when he was in Argentina, I would have done so if it hadn´t been for the ticket prices and the fact that I absolutely hate the venue where he played.
Must have been wonderful to hear him play the piano live. I´ve just listened him sing a few songs and even though I liked most of them, I wasn´t crazy about his delivery, but his piano performances I absolutely loved, very beautiful and full of sentiment.
Hope you have a great time in the next concert as well.
