I have *got* to learn to ignore the designer in me. I have a small gift to whip up for a gift exchange. It's part of the preemie charity group I knit/crochet with. The person I *got* is moving and quite excited about it, so a simple little "Home Sweet Home" sampler should be a good choice (the gift needs to be handmade). Jamie's new clothes
Jamie was given some cool-ass material at Banner War. It's going to be a new coat for him. It has to be done in time for his stepping down as king mid-July. (It's the medieval thang.) Anyway, new black pants and a new linen shirt. Only it needs embroidery, it does, it does. And here is the pattern for the neck opening.

I'm almost there! I made a commitment to the teacher that my projects would be done by Road to California, and they will be. I've finished the embroidery and have the perfect material to complete it. Sooper Seekrit Projekt
The last time I posted I had gotten a good start on the project. The next day, I added an additional 3x9 area and figured out the patterning and colors. M&E and Squire Whosit came over Saturday. nametag
The third and final name tag is done. Twice. The fairies have stolen the first one, so I did a second one. I like this one better. I will be able to present it to her this weekend! Huzzah!

Tell me if this doesn't cry out for quilting? On a plain ecru linen maybe. Use several shades of browns and black. Maybe leave it inside a hoop for a frame? Or maybe part of a headboard for a bed? Book cover? All I know is I saw it and I have to do it. I have to.nametag Diane
