For about two weeks I have been mostly on my own digging up the dead. Rather more than were expected....still washed them all off now and have enjoyed a catch up on here with a cold beer. Day off from the deceased tomoz. sweet. Good to be back.

Really ought to be concentrating on 'fascinating' research ahead of a proposed pipeline but am distracted by the desktop scorecard for the test match. Doesn't take much like.

I did the Great Manchester 10k Run on Sunday...without puking or dying and under an hour this time (just).
33,000 runners in all - I had hoped to leg up Gordon 'North West News legend' Burns but failed to spot him, did spot Clint Boon by the side of the road though.

We just had an earthquake. Exciting stuff for a Tuesday in Lancaster.

On Thursday night, whilst trying to get the stone out of an avocado (a spectacularly middle-class accident), I accidently, almost severed my finger. Hmmmmm....banging on about how lovely my drive to work is yesterday - well, this morning not so good. Thirsty Thursday is really not a good idea when you have to work the next day.

Today is going to be such a struggle. Medicinal powers of Vimto required with a bag of nice n spicy nik naks.
