The Fanish Mixer: The Vorlons are Double-Dipping Again.

Sep 30, 2005 01:10

So here's a thought I had while rummaging through my flist today. Turning Spike into a girl and making him have sex with Buffy doesn't make femmeslash. No, seriously. The only way that can be femmeslash is if you convincingly make Spike a MTF (male-to-female transsexual) and that's even regardless of what's under his skirt. But Spike with a magical ( Read more... )

I'm going to agree with soundingsea that Veronica should've known that Butters was Van Clemmons' kid.

Hee! I don't think that was me, but I'm thrilled that you free-associate me with anything Van Clemmons.

I kinda like Veronica not knowing because that makes her more fallible, you know? Her arrogance regarding freshmen and not knowing them kinda bit her in the ass there.

But I got to wear leather and play with fire at the same time. Woo! You're Cave!Buffy. :)

I think that it was the review I read before yours and I remember your comment about your fic being completely Jossed now.

It does make her more fallible. And she definitely lives in a world of people she knew pre-S1. Maybe if it was anyone, but the principal's kid... I just always remember knowing which teachers/profs had children at school.

If Cave!Buffy was making pottery.

I believe that Picard and Crusher, after watching Will and Deanna get married, the obvious jealously on Bev's fave when Picard was with Anise in Insurrection, and Picard having being faced with his youth in Nemesis, got married and since the time line got all messed up in All Good Things, lived happily ever after :)

Not my cuppa either, though it's worth noting that Spike's gender doesn't change even if his physical sex does.

I still find it unsettling and disturbing.

Maybe it's just Ranma 1/2 but I find the thought of people thinking that just having a female body makes you a woman weird. Really really weird.

I think it's just not a concept that most people actually have to deal with - whether in RL or in media.

Worf-like. Snort. I found her...uncompelling.

ANd am I the only one that can't look at Steve Guttenburg (sp) without seeing Daryl Hannah as a shriveled ghost? No. Just me then.

I heart Weevil all over the place. Something about badboys, lol.

I think the highlight of the episode for me was when Officer Hot Stuff rubbed his hand down Veronica's cheek. Apparently I swoon easily. Bwa.

I found her uncompelling in the same way that I find Worf's dialog uncompelling.

I don't have the same association. Sorry.

Badboys are fun. I miss them. At least I could figure their intentions better than the "nice guys."

That was really sweet. I liked him 100% more after that scene.
