Unexpected, even for the Nexus

Yesterday was...interesting. I bought some gorgeous furs and giant teeth from some trollish people. And Jesus was drunk. That was pretty weird. Seems he doesn't like this new pope. And he's married.

Also, Ginta has stagefright and Ephram's learning to deal with idiotsSasha's agreed to let all the kids do a bit of "redecorating" since Alured

"Furs and teeth?" Sasha sounds intrigued. And looks surprised, at mention of Drunk Jesus. "Did he chance to mention why he indulged so?"

On the subject of the redecorating, she smiles. It probably isn't the sort of thing the members of house Fiona were meant to be insulated against in their stalwart lack of fear, but she's realized that without that buffer, she would be apprehensive about the coming change. Unencumbered by that worry, however, she can fully enjoy the prospect. "Interesting, indeed."

She nods. "Furs and teeth. Really enormously huge ones. And I was good and didn't get the baby whatever-they-ares for pets either.

"He doesn't like remembering. I don't blame him."

She just smiles, knowing Sasha would have worried once upon a time but also knowing it's just paint and isn't permanent and not intending to let it get near anything that can't easily be replaced or painted over. Never fear, Sasha, your precious antiques are safe.

"They sound quite interesting." She lets her amusement show as Ali mentions how good she was, while a kitten nuzzles Ali's foot.

"In that light, nor do I."

Ali's so good to her wife; Sasha counts herself as lucky indeed, and tries to be worthy of it.

Ali leans down to give the kitten scritches. "Hello there. Do you want to see the furs too?"

"Ooh, wow! Do you have a spare ticket for the Holmes Brothers?"

"No, but I've got one meant for you." Ali hugs her and kisses her cheek. "I had a feeling you'd like to go."

"Eeee! Ali, you're the best!" Ali gets hugs and many kisses, all enthusiastic. "Thank you!"

Ali laughs, giving Sel a warm hug (and many kisses). "You're welcome."

Ephram is still learning to deal with idiots.

"You're new at this. It takes time. That's not a bad thing!" Hugs are good. Hopefully hugs make Ephram happy? "Just try not to worry about it so much."

I think what is most difficult is having spent my life until now not worrying about it. Suddenly I'm hated for who I love.

But hugs do make the Ephram happy!
