Idiots: the Sequel, plus vaguely worried ramblings

Anyone else feel like swearing at other peoples' deities too? I find it really hard to believe that a man who built his own pacemaker into a suit of super-armor is this dumb. And yet he is!

And then this was just...gah! The stupid made my brains hurt. And then thinking that it'd be okay to fight with each other with Jubilee there at their feet

"I find myself in favor of the scrolling parterre as a base. Though I will confess, it may simply be that seeing the first two put me in mind of radial symmetry, and the parterre was a change of pace. And that fountain is lovely."

Sasha exclaims in delight over the blocks, the cabinets, and the cubes. "Oh, those are positively darling!"

Ali smiles tiredly, hugging Sasha close. "Mmm. Don't forget there will be a really gigantic tree in the center of the garden though."

[chill_whispers]

Sasha returns the embrace, gently kneading her beloved's aching back. "Mm, very true. It will deserve to be a point of focus." Fondly, she adds a kiss upon Ali's brow. "Now, how may I comfort you this evening?"

"Um...ice cream?"

"The Bristol picture is excellent, but not quite so well suited to feature a prominent tree as the other two arangements."

She nods. "But I don't have to completely copy any of them. I'm sure I could come up with something that incorporates the elements I like from each, with time. Oh! I have something for you."

She goes for a moment, then returns with a box and a baby. The box is handed to him. "Alured and I thought you might like this."

Inside the box is a very nice silver pocketwatch, of the sort of design that would be in keeping with others popular in the England where he lives. Behind the faceplate, where normally the chamber would be full of gears and cogs, there's a small Pinpoint system.

And we have, examining the pocketwatch, a very happy Jack.

"Oh my. So it's one of those devices... This is excellent. My thanks to you both. Very fine and most convenient. Particularly as I keep getting the impression something might happen to the archway at any time." And now, considering recent events, he's going to make sure of that, but no need to get into that on such a nice occasion.

"You're very welcome. I've set a few coordinates for you already: the first is the Nexus, the second is your shop, and the third will bring you here. I hope you don't mind?" She doesn't think he will, of course, but it never hurts to check.
