Actually I had heard nothing of this show until just now, but the premise involves massive retrograde amnesia and the lack of a belly button (clear evidence of uncharted regenerative capabilities if I ever saw it).
DVD comes out later this month, maybe Greencine will love me with it.
Alright you jumping to conclusions motherfucker. His lack of a bellybutton has nothing to do with regenerative abilities and (thus) it is not a weapon X rip-off.
The premise actually does not involve massive retrograde amnesia, but in fact the total lack of memory. Amnesia requires there to be a loss. Amnesia is merely the assumption made by all the characters on the show due to the fact that he is a teenaged boy without any memory, but there is a less than subtle subtext that he never had any memory possibly because he is a fully engineered person (perhaps even alien in origin), hence from there is the lack of a bellybutton. If it's a rip-off of anything, it's Stranger in a Strange land, because he has abilities and perception very similar to the main character in that book.
well, he's considered the size of a 16-year-old, so you could say he fits the mold of the classical homunculous, unless he grows into full-sized. It remains to be demonstrated whether he is growing as a normal 16-year-old boy would.
Kim has the first two episodes on her laptop, which she got from a datakey i lent her. I have the entire first season at home. And am now recording the new ones on DVR. It comes on mondays right before Heroes =)
