So I had a very stressful week, but its almost over and I'm glad. I had three exams this week. Two of them stunk, but the third was almost a relief. The last one was a surgery lab, and I had to demonstrated two hand ties and an instrument tie. Which, even when you do them right the doctor made almost everyone do them over while criticizing. So life seems to be a little more stable. Views on life changes when you aren't wide awake at three in the morning, no longer PMSing, and you actually get a little sleep. And it helps to realize that everyone has moments of irrationality with really bad days, and its ok to be occasionally really emotional and its ok to rely on friends. Especially ( Read more... )

So summer is over. I picked up my class notes today, and tomorrow 8am it all starts again. Part of me is ready to get back to being busy and seeing my classmates. Another part of me, though, really does not want to be that busy and some classmates I still don't want to see. So now it's August, but let me tell you about my July. So I spent July in Southern Illinois at Dixon Springs Ag Center in the vet med department. I worked with cattle (fly tagged, poured on ivermec, and lots of fecal samples)and pigs (we did all sorts of stuff with them), and one cat got spayed by yours truly in my first ever surgery, and yes she ( Read more... )

I'm done!! I am so relieved to be done. I don't want to get my hopes up but I don't think I have to repeat the year. Two of my profs I swear must be closely genetically related to Satin.
