It's true that the type of exercise is a factor in muscle building, but different people build in different ways too. Some people, no matter how hard they try, just can't get bulk. Some people, like me, have trouble putting on muscle mass without gaining in size (going up a size or two is ok, but I don't want to be Power Girl chunky, especially since I don't have the boobs to balance it). Part of that too is just that I'm lazy though. :D I think that a lot of the people that are really slim with rockhard muscles have been consistently in shape for a long time, and I tend to cycle between fit and sedentary. Le sigh. I really love that ultra-defined look, I hope one day to achieve it without using a fat burner/diuretic.
