On Friday I went to see caverns and then eat Thai food with Cindy and her family. I might post pics when I get home if any came out cool. We felt so poor! Stuff is so expensive here, Cindy's used to LA but I'm still on Rochester pricing. Like the caverns were $17 admission, and then $3.25 for a tiny crappy slice of pizza but I had to get it because ( Read more... )

You make me want to study jujitsu instead of judo so I can have my characters do that instead. :) I don't even really know the difference, but the fangirls sound awesome.

I feel bad saying it, but I'm not totally clear on the difference either. I think judo's a little more broadly focused and BJJ's just grappling? But Japanese jujitsu isn't just grappling... honestly, the main thing I've heard is just that judo's not very effective and jujitsu is. :P But Bruce canonically does judo yes? So...I dunno, I am no help to you. :D I'm sure there are cool judo girls too, I just don't know any. This was the largest number of female martial artists I'd ever seen in one place outside of the one tournament I went to, it was awesome!

Aw, seminar! Wish I could have been there. And I'm sure you would have won the instructor's heart if you had had enough time.

Mmmm, martial romances. ♥

The instructor is gorgeous, lives in Brazil, and is martial arts royalty. Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I'm not holding my breath. :D

It would be such a kick-ass romance, with loads of fighting in between. And I don't mean between yourself and her (save for those sparring chapters where...well, things happen...) but there'd be assassins and rival lovers as well as other martial art masters from different schools trying to tear you all apart. It would have a soundtrack and everything!

I'd come along as back-up side-character from time to time, sometimes lending a hand (or a fist) and constantly fangirling your twoo wub. I could be the budo taijutsu liason and everything would be spiffy up until the season finale-like chapters ( ... )

! I giggled over this for like 10 minutes! :D If only real life was as wonderful as the happenings in your head.

LOL, I agree with Stacey! You could have won the instructors heart. You could have won all their hearts, their jujitsu would hold no power over you and your awesomeness! all would love you, and despair! or.. love you and form a harem. *goes into little dream world* *grins*

I'm glad your allergies are behaving! it would have sucked to be dying of allergies and doing all the seminar and the yoga and everything. You are not a poser! and definitely not as out of shape as you think if you could put up with all the exercise from hell.

I have yet to agree with you in mail, but I say it right now: reading TPB on the floor and discussing them is totally a rocking date. Also, Batman sheets. Yeah baby. *giggles* I have my Batman sheets on too! woo! little Batman's running! I would expect Batman to keep me from nightmares, but you know, the guy is only a man. He does what he can :P

*is spamming you a little instead of doing homework :P*

Hm, I'm sure that seminar was somewhat pornographic to an observer...so that's why those guys were filming, and here I thought it was to record Kyra's teachings for posterity!

Um, well I did keep up (until the very end when my legs decided to stop working, which was hilarious cause I just kinda sat on my partner's arm and she's like "Go ahead and do the technique" and I'm like "I'm trying, my legs won't move!") and also did yoga twice in two days, but...I'm totally paying for it now. Or at least my right leg is, the rest of me's just a little sore but my right leg is hella cramped. You wouldn't think a ground art would be so tough on the legs! But it's different muscles of course. The underside of my left knee hurts, weird! I need to get up in time to do some pre-work yoga tomorrow or I won't be able to waaaalk.

I can't do it Saturday because my cousin's getting married. My family's staying with us from I think Wed-Sun for that, but I will totally use M_D to get out of hanging out with my cousin.
::cough:: Uh, that was referring to 2 different cousins. :D The one getting married is my cousin Heather, she's a year older than me. The one staying with me is I think 6 and in that older-cousin-worship stage. I realized upon rereading that that sounded a little funky...
