there's always 4chan. posting there is like taking your deepest thoughts, scrawling them on post-it-notes and flushing them down the most disgusting public toilet you can find, knowing they'll vanish forever with almost no comment.

there's an over-all vileness - a juvenile kind of "we can say anything we want, we're not using our real names" - and there are forums where it's much worse than the rest of the site (the politics, gaming, anime and 'random' forums).. but the 3D CGI and literature forums aren't.. quite.. as vile. although /lit/ is overrun with philosofags.
i think the place jumped a small shark when moot left.
it's a little like the toilets at Abyss. you wouldn't want to live there, but there is a sense of familiarity when you visit. and you appreciate the necessity of such a place existing.
