When I want to share something with the internet, I no longer know where to put it. Too many choices! Images and quotes go on Tumblr, stuff to share with family goes on Facebook, longer, introspective things go here on LiveJournal still, but what about shorter bits of randomness?

I've never been to Italy, and know only a few words of Italian.

Then Venice is the perfect choice. IME, Venetians are way more helpful to (non-Italian-speaking)visitors than folk in other Italian cities. Venice is like a totally different country all of its own. Which it was, once of a day, of course, and that sense still carries through to today. Beautiful. I really wasn't all that enamoured of Italy when I was there, but fell deeply and madly in love with Venice from the moment I first ventured in. I approve of your plan!
