Who: Yusuke vs. Shanks
Where: House of Arms, "Training Room 1"
When: Mid-Afternoon
Why: Shanks and Yusuke, reluctant to wait for an official tournament match, decide to have a good, clean fight to pass the time.
Rating: PG-13; some minor language

Yusuke navigated his way from room 208 on the second floor to the House of Arm’s Training Room 1. He had to admit that the House of Arm’s was quite the maze, but it didn’t take the Spirit Detective too long to track down the room. On the contrary, just honing in on the energy surging from within was more than enough to attract the teen’s attention ( ... )

"Oh?" His voice suddenly lighting up with a hopeful tone, Yusuke's voice fell upon his ears and perked him up sharply. Shank's eyes lit up, and from his slouched position on the floor, he sat up sharply, folding his lean, muscled legs beneath him. Yusuke watched as Shanks rose to his full height. His gaze following the long folds of his cloak until it evened out around him. Having to crane his neck just a little to get a better look at the much taller man. Though as he approached, Shank's proved to be even more impressive in person.

Standing still, Yusuke was able to sense the pulses given off by Shanks as he grinned. Oh this was going to be fun. He thought to himself as he too built up spiritual power. Reddish-brown eyes flaring up with excitement as his aura burst to life in greeting.

"Likewise." He replied, body shaking slightly from the mountainous amount of power that Shanks had unleashed. "It's a pleasure to meet you Shanks." He smiled guard up slightly as he reached to shake his hand.

"I'm Yusuke." He greeted back, a massive amount of energy emitting from him as well. His body ablaze in a ghostly blue light. Even as the teen took Shanks hand to shake it he was still trembling from the display.

Shanks immediately darkened his smile a little, once he accepted their hearty handshake, turning it to a more threatening theme. Shanks didn't have an evil bone in his body, but when it came to a fight, he couldn't help but enjoy acting the part a little. "That's the spirit," he said, feeling Yusuke resist his 'haki' with his own brand of spiritual power. "Very good! I'll have a blast going up against you, I can tell already ( ... )
