"Binkusu no Sake o, todoke ni yuku yo,
umikaze kimakase namimakase...~"
Taking a moment to relax after a brisk little workout, Shanks sat with his back against the cold, bland surface of the automated, mechanized training room's wall, his legs bent in front of him as he comfortably lounged there in a room that now had no real features or decoration, with the training session over. It was a brilliant invention, no doubt, a room that normally looked like an empty white box at first, but with the right input of a very complicated-looking panel of buttons and switches, it could be anything imaginable, even a standoff against a certain rival of his from his old world. Though no one had been around to watch, the entire room had been violently shaking as thunderous blows clashed together, more akin to massive tremors being unleashed one after another after another than a fight between two men.
"Shio no mukou de, yuuhi mo sawagu,
sora ni, wa o kaku tori no uta!~"
Everything was calm now, and Shanks took a moment to put himself at ease, to let his nerves calm and his muscles relax again. He even set himself at ease by singing a few verses from one of his favorite spirited songs, one that he and his crew often sang together on long voyages. He looked perfectly content, his lips drawn into a gentle smile, his eyes gently closed, and his voice still and strong; though his singing was far from perfect, it was full of life and perfectly embodied the spirit of the pirate's song.
His arms were messily draped over his knees, hands hanging down limply, with his large, sheathed sword resting on the ground beside him. "Well...I suppose I'll hang around here for a little bit longer..." he said aloud, staring up at the void ceiling above him. "Don't wanna hog this room any more than I have to, but maybe that one fellow will show up..."
