Very cute story from their childhood. And I'm glad that Logan realized how much cooler Cassidy is than Dick! I think Cassidy is at least 100x better. Unfortunately, Logan and Dick are the same age, and they have that whole surfing thing in common.

Yeah, in my head the surfing thing is what allowed them to become friends.

Aw. Dickie. Hee.

It's interesting you chose to give Logan so many "manly" moments. "Skating was for sissies" and the like, since he is so lovably fey at times on the show. Do you think that's something he grew out of?

I'm loving this challenge, but I think I like them more and more the younger the characters are. They just sound so cute!

I guess I think Logan is rather complicated. Fey on the surface, but still "manly" overall. He likes manly things (surfing, fighting, drinking, etc), but is fey in the way he goes about things (movement, speech, etc) if that makes sense at all. I included a few fey moments in here too (gestures, swinging legs) to try to capture that. I don't know how well it came off, but that was the intent. I am afraid I am not making much sense here.

I love the characters young too. They do sound cute and it was fun to write.

This was really fun to read. Awesome job with the child's POV, I especially liked...
He had been furious at Trina forever. Maybe even two weeks.

Thanks. I don't know anything about little boys, so I sort of just guessed as to how little Logan might think. Hee.

You gave Little Logan a very convincing child voice.

And this line made me laugh :
He had been furious at Trina forever. Maybe even two weeks.
Really something an eight years old could think.

Thanks! I guess this line was popular, which makes me laugh because it was a late addition to the story. Glad I put it in. It is just funny how time is so different with little kids.
