Ugh. This is painful. I don't know what to think. And, uh, since I never had any interest in watching Gossip Girl and certainly wouldn't do so to hear Kristen's VOICE, this news doesn't please me one bit.

But, one question-- why would Kristen be doing the voiceover and not the actress who is playing her character? Won't that be.. confusing? Or am I misinterpreting the article?

The Gossip Girl is just the narrator, through an online column. There is no physical character of her in the books.

Ahh, I see, sorry, I'm not familiar with the books. I should have thought of something like that.

Still, the news brings me no solice. I only hope that, if by some miracle we are renewed, it isn't too much of a strain for Kristen to do both Gossip Girl and VM.

Kristen has a nice voice but that is not good enough. If I am going to take "comfort" in anything that doesn't involve VM coming back, it is Kristen being booked for a new show this fall. I guess she'll have the opportunity to do films but it pisses me off that she won't get the chance to jump on a new pilot or anything.

Pilot filming season is long over with, and she never would have been able to get enough time off from VM to film one. Plus it would have looked like a vote of no confidence in the show's future. It's one thing for Chris Lowell to shoot the Private Practice pilot, since he's expendable on VM when push comes to shove. But why would a new show cast the star of a show that might or might not be back next year when looking for a lead?

My point was that CW should have decided the fate of VM a long time ago. But I guess if there is still hope, then it's all good. It just isn't looking good, which sucks for all the cast and crew.

well, the only nice thing I can say about this is: Kristen Bell does have a very attractive voice. apart from that, I'd just like to mourn the loss of my VM... :(
