But the ratings for this week have arrived and VM plummeted to 1.8 million, while Gilmore Girls pulled in typical ratings (3.9 million). I'm not sure how the LA preemption factored in, but regardless, it does not look good, especially as GG was preempted also ( Read more... )

I'm really saddened now. But, I also think it's mostly due to VM not showing in L.A. also. Those numbers can't be used when a part of Cali didn't even air the episode.

Technically only part of GG was preempted so it's possible that a lot of LA was able to tune in and be counted in the ratings. VM on the other hand was completely preempted so they didn't get any viewers from the LA/Orange County area.

Plus I'm sure the decision whether or not to renew VM no longer relies on it getting good ratings, but how well the network thinks the revamped show could do.

Hey I've read on a german TVsite, that CW is ungrudging in Veronica Mars and that it's look like they will pick up the show...

It always seems that whenever soemthign happens, it happens during and the CW always plays other crap instead, do they do this to their other shows!!!
