I was re-watching "Papa's Cabin" last night and was pondering the future of Keith as Sheriff and what that would mean to the show and his relationship to Veronica. It certainly is a deviation from the noir premise but could lead to some interesting conflicts between our dynamic detective duo. Then a thought occurred to me. What if the affair with

You're totally onto something with the Vinny/Harmony stuff...I could definitely see that being something that the Fitzpatricks would use to try to stop Keith from being re-elected. ;)

Well I was thinking about this, and there are so many possibilities here. I mean if Keith remains sheriff, he won't be able to let Veronica get away with everything, there has to be a point where he puts his foot down, right? But also, I don't know if he would get re-elected. I know he redeemed himself with the whole Haaron capture, but still. Also, if Keith wasn't to remain sheriff, wouldn't that open the possiblity to bring in a really mean other guy. Like to cause problems for the Mars' family during their investigations, and who is competent?

But onto what I really wanted to say. I really, really want the Fitzpatricks to return! I mean I obviously hate them cause EVIL. But the Fitzpatricks/Veronica scenes are really good. Good meaning scary and creepy.

Hm. That would certainly be a nice show of continuity, which the show has been desperately lacking this season.

While I think that would be an interesting premise, I hope to God they don't actually bring that character back. I hated the Harmony storyline; it made me lose some respect for Keith. After all, he knew what it was like to see a spouse cheat. No matter what Harmony's husband did, I just felt like he should have known better.

At any rate, I do think it would be a good storyline. Keith hasn't really been held responsible for his bad decisions where Harmony was concerned.
