You know... I haven't seen the episode yet (this week or last weeks, actually). I was planning on watching them both tomorrow when I realized that everyone in my LJ friends list was over their heads in shock over the episode. I was inadvertantly spoiled to the end of this week's episode when I read a post by Michael Muhney. Now I'm so disgusted, that I am not even sure I want to watch.
And it's like they forgot about season 2 with the Mac thing.
Forgot about S2? As in, forgot that it ended with a character's suicide and a murder of another character's father, and new knowledge into Veronica's rape? Which we haven't heard mention of at all this season? Heh, if I trusted them anymore to remember anything that happened in the past, I might've been more surprised. Instead, I was just predictably disappointed.

This strikes so true to me that I am forced to copy/paste the whole damn thing. There are SO MANY things not addressed this season that it is frankly depressing. I'm done being optomistic girl.. *is sad, so very sad*
I agree about Keith being sheriff. I was really upset and it just felt like such a jump the shark move for them to make. I mean, I always imagined something like that wouldn't happen until the finale. And even if it did happen in the finale, it still would be a tad overly cheesy for my noir
( ... )
Wait, so you're disgusted with the show because Lamb died and Keith became Sheriff, and Mac had sex with a nice guy, and was happy about it afterwards?
I agree, I liked it, too. I don't begrudge anyone his/her beliefs, and I suppose both the negative and positive comments illustrate how passionate people are about the show. Anyway, I'm pretty devoted to the show, and will watch for as long as it's on - it's the only network show I watch regularly.
btw interesting comment about how the original poster would feel badly about not watching the show anymore if it's renewed for next season...I sense some ambivalence there...
