that josh was allergic (and i mean deathly allergic) to the peanut butter cookies? i thought that he was going to die..which would place veronica as his killer, thus the arresting...well, now that i saw the end of the episode, and next weeks trailors...well, he's still there. so, i'm thinkin maybe he escaped from the hospital?  i think he's guilty

i think the deans son is involved. he randomly popped up in 3x12 and I think he took the car from the grand and killed his dad. but that's all my theory.

good ideas about next week. that would make sense.

yeah, the son seemed pretty shifty, and i thought it was weird how they just popped him in there...maybe that would explain the OTHER male voice? hrmmm, the possiblities...

Spoiler alert.

Maybe I completely missed apart, but I don't remember seeing Josh having a negative reaction to the peanut butter cookies. All I saw was him taking a bite out of it then cut to another scene. And I thought that when Lamb arrested V, he said, "You're being arrested for aiding and abetting the escape of Josh Barry." Maybe I missed something. :| Personally, I don't think he's guilty. The pressure is probably just getting to him.

Considering that they showed the man at the beginning of the episode, I think that he may come back for the tie-up of this mystery arc somehow. When Ratner first mentioned two men arguing, I thought of him. Perhaps he was arguing with Dr. Landry, but I don't really see the tie between the two.

ok, so if it wasnt josh who killed his dad, my second thought was the guy that I think killed the dean (cigar guy, shown in the beginging)

maybe something about the school in general owing him money, maybe the basketball team took out some loans that needed to be paid....

oh, and the peanut butter cookie thing, just something that would help to get josh out of jail. he asked veronica for peanut butter cookies maybe knowing he would have a reaction, then he would be sent to the hospital where he could escape....

Just because they didn't show his allergic reaction doesn't mean he didn't have them. I think it's somehow connected with the cookies.

Maybe. That does kind of make sense. I just disregarded his request because I thought peanut butter cookies were his favorite. I would suck if I were a real PI.

OK i found it really weird when veronica was staring over the cliff before that josh berry dude walked up beside her, he was behind her and the camera cut to him and he had this kinda "im gonna get you" look when he walked up it kinda looked like he was gonna push her over the cliff.....is this just me? or did anyone else get that feeling too?

I totally got that. Creepiness. Apparently they're setting something up with Josh, everything is not as it seems. For a change. The previews certainly set it up that he would be after her some way, guess we will see next week...

but, he didnt. but he deffinatley has tortured soul written all over him, in a creepy, murderous way. like the previews show for next episode...seriously, who ties someone up in a trunk? (assuming that was josh who tied him up)

Furthermore, the director of the episode talks briefly about it in the newest Veronica Mars podcast, saying that Rob Thomas wanted the audience to think that Josh might've brought VM to the cliff to push her over. They ran out of time during filming and couldn't get a shot from Josh's POV, though, which would've made it even clearer.
