Yeah, I noticed that, too.

VM hasn't been much for continuity lately, though.

I completely agree! I made a post on this LJ community about that but most people disagreed (before it was eventually deleted for no good reason, other than missing tags). People were saying that the show is good for continuity and I strongly disagree (at least this season).

I think when the show made it's transition from UPN to the CW it lost some of it's quality. :(

Could she have been being sarcastic? We've been seeing a lot of that from Mac lately.

That was my initial thought.

I could be wrong, but I think it was more in reference to the rest of her family (not necessarily Mac herself) as being meat lovers. In the context though, it does seem a bit confusing, you're right. :)

That was my feeling too.. I didn't actually give it a second thought until TWoP mentioned it.

that's what I thought too, and then right after she said that I was like "Mac is Vegan" and my friend was like "Ooh no way?" and then we talked about Silence of the Lamb and she finally realized it. haha.

ummm I don't see how that's a discrepancy... she's from a meats and potatoes type of family, she doesn't say that she's a meat eater... she just says that her family is. Yeah... i can see how you would think that she says that she's a meat eater, but if she was she couldn't be part of the group... so i think she's just refering to her family

Yeah you're probably right. I eventually thought maybe that was it too, but my first reaction at her saying that was "wait! you're a vegan!" LOL

What would be the point of her bringing up that her family is a 'meat and potatoes' type of family? If she was a vegan, she should of just said so.

The way they did it added confusion; unless of course they forgot that she was, as well. Veronica is a meat eater, but she is aparently allowed to be apart of the group (I am aware she can fake it, but so could Mac).

i agree. plus, if mac has been a vegan for 3 years, she wouldn't have to ask what cruelty-free clothing, nor would she have to comb through her closet to find some.

this is a continuity issue, period.

she could just mean that her family is "meat and potatoes" not necessarily her. I know people who have families that are hardcore meat and potatoes but they personally are vegetarian or vegan
