Long story about the name, but I can explain: Bart Allen was originally Impulse in the comics. He became the second Kid Flash a few years ago, and last year, he became the fourth Flash. But at the time the character debuted on Smallville, he was still Impulse in the comics.
For some reason, Warner Bros. doesn't want Bart being called Flash on Smallville, perhaps because of the film project in development (likely, the Flash in the film will be Barry Allen or Wally West) or another project somewhere else, so they may have to call him Impulse. Unless Warner Bros. has changed their minds on the matter since I last read about it, which is entirely possible.
oo thanks for clearing that up for me! see i haven't read the comics just the cartoons and the shows. i should have read the comics they seem fascinating.
the cw website is saying flash on the side but imdb.com says impulse i guess they can't get their story straight on which one they are keeping.
Richard Donner (director of Superman: The Movie) is actually writing Action Comics currently. In fact, a lot of people from TV and movies are now working in comics as well (most notably Joss Whedon doing a kickass job on Astonishing X-Men and soon Buffy Season 8).
am I the only one that wishes that Troy was still on Veronica Mars? but then again if I went to visit a school and was accused of rape I dont think I would decide to go there either, oh well
