Sometimes I think having this LJ is great, and sometimes I think it leads my mind (and self-image) into murky water ( Read more... )

I do, my dearest one... I must confess that I have been suffering from internet exhaustion. Your entries invariably cheer me... I am just slightly overwhelmed by my flist.

Thanks for understanding; I hope my friends understand that I wasn't (and am not) looking for attention; I'm just a little emotionally fragile right now.

Oh, dear, I am so sorry to hear that, most beloved... You are precious and God's blessing to me, and many others I have no doubt.

I read your entries every single day and they never fail to cheer me or comfort me. I'm afraid I don't always comment at your LJ and I'm truly sorry. You always read my most long-winded, blathering posts about every sundry thing in my life and leave nice comments.

Often, at your LJ and at others, I will read a post that is touching or sweet and I'll think, "Oh, that's nice. I enjoyed reading that," but I'll fail to leave a comment saying so. I'm afraid I fall into the trap of always wanting to leave a pithy or witty comment and if I can't think of anything, I don't comment at all. Not a good habit and one I'll work on.

*long, long hug* Hope you're feeling better soon.

I know exactly what you mean. And sometimes I get someone who comments a lot and then just stops, but is still commenting on other people's. And I think, 'Well, what did I do? Or say?' Certainly I think there has been a bit of a general exodus from LJ. The number of comments I get has dropped tremendously, for which reason I'm not certain, though I'm inclined to think I prattle too much about the grandkids and don't post as many scenic photos, because we don't get out as much these days. Who knows? LJ is a fickle place. Rest assured though I always read and love your blog even if I don't always comment.

A lot of the younger people who were originally on my flist (including my daughters!) have gone to myspace and facebook, but I just don't get those sites. I've had a look but I can't even find my way around, and when I do jag it, I'm not remotely interested in people's entries. I like lj better - it's newsy and chatty and often topical.
Nice to chat with you, by the way :-)

LJ used to be full of teens but I think you're right that they've all migrated to facebook and myspace. I can't make head or tale of those either and am quite comfy here at LJ - all my friends are here too, despite all the ups and downs LJ seems to through. LJ is obviously for old fogeys. LOL. Nice talking to you too. :-)

Verlinda my dear, I read your EVERY post! Even when you did one every single day! I only have a very small flist so that I can keep up.
