Chapter 5:

As the trio turned the corner, the sign of the Waldrave came into their line of vision. Kyiuma’s eyes lit up like a Christmas tree, and as she looked Raizè, confusion entered her eyes, as they walked past the restaurant.

“Raizè where are we going?” Kyiuma’s head turned around, and although she kept walking the sign was fading quickly out of her vision.

“We are going somewhere else, a place where I think you will enjoy it.” His voice was almost monotone, and as met Kyiuma’s confused gaze.

“You will see. Trust us when we say you will like it.” Celestiaña chimed in with her two cents. As they were walking, Raizè took her hand and squeezed it as they walked past an intersection. The white haired thief could not suppress that feeling that she was constantly being watched. Her powers were extended covering the surrounding areas, and she knew as soon as she entered their destination, her fears would only be heightened.

As they turned the corner, Kyiuma visibly stiffened. She did not like where they were heading, and the building that she was looking at was quite run down, and the outside walls were spray painted in graffiti.

“Hold on a minute. Are you expecting me to walk into this ancient building?” Kyiuma ran a hand through her hair, which inadvertently was now requiring her to re-do her bun. The trip stopped as Kyiuma redid her hair, and continue to make her comments about the place. “Are we really going into there?”

“Yes, we are going into there.” Raizè let out a breath of air that he was holding. He was getting extremely tired of her whining and hopefully by showing her this, it would stop of her negative talk about Celestiaña. It was times like that Raizè wished he had a camera to take a picture whenever the white haired female revealed herself.

As the trio came to the stone door, Celestiaña lifted her palm and twisted the door knob with a flick of her wrist, the door opened. Kyiuma’s eyes squinted as the door opened. Her impressions before walking into the building that it was going to be horribly outdated, but that was not the case. As Kyiuma walked into the building, she found the inside to be quite the opposite. Although the building looked like it was from the stone age, it was actually quite modern.

“Welcome to home sweet home.” Celestiaña walked into the middle of the room, and she double clicked in the middle of the air. Raizè took Kyiuma by the hand, and led her up the stairs. As the pair walked up the stairs, three dimensional menus were beginning to appear around Celestiaña.

“So what do you think of the place?” Celestiaña looked up at Kyiuma, who was staring down at the holographic menu.

“It is different than what I expected, that is for sure.” Kyiuma began looking around at the different items that began to appear as Celestiaña’s fingers were flying upon an invisible keyboard. “Lestat, how is that you have this technology, or you know about this place?”

“Kyiuma that is something that is hard to explain.” Celestiaña said while focusing all of her attention upon the menus before her face. The Japanese woman looked at Raizè, who just shrugged, and decided to jump down from the second story. Kyiuma’s eyes widened as Raizè hopped down, and Celestiaña made no effort to notice him.

“Are you CRAZY?! You are going to end up splat on the floor!” Kyiuma screamed.

“No, he will not, Kyiuma.” Celestiaña looked up at Kyiuma, with her white eyes gazing up at the woman.

“You . . . are . . . her?” Kyiuma was staring down at Celestiaña, with her jaw open and collecting flies.

“Well, do you know anyone else with white eyes?” Celestiaña’s tone became very icy, as her intense white eyes narrowed into slits. Kyiuma stepped back, from the railing, and swallowed hard. Raizè hit the floor, gracefully, but Kyiuma did not hear the sound. She turned back around, walked right up to the railing and gazed down again. She saw Raizè standing on his two feet, and Celestiaña no where to be found.

Kyiuma walked around upstairs, taking notice of the strange building. The inside was not anything that she was expecting; instead she came across a picture of a parrot. The feathers were a brightly red color, with its head turned directly into the camera. The parrot was perched upon the tree, and its different colored feathers made it stand out. On the left wing, the parrot’s feathers were a midnight blue color, and the feathers upon the right wing were a bright gold color. Kyiuma began walking down the hallway, noticing pictures of the parrot.

She stopped at the next painting, where the parrot had taken flight. Its wings were very spread, the different colors standing out against the blue sky and the green trees. The body of the parrot from the neck towards his tail was a red color. However on the right and left side the other colors met with the red. As Kyiuma walked, she saw various pictures of the bird in different positions, but the one that caught her attention, was the one where the parrot was facing the camera. The pink color of his beak was staring the camera down. However upon inspection, Kyiuma noticed that the parrot’s breast was a red color, but there was a symbol faintly showing through the mass of feathers.

Kyiuma looked down, and saw that Raizè had taken post on the couch, and Celestiaña was no where to be found. Her interest was beginning to get the better of her, and she wanted to know about this mysterious parrot.

“Raizè, what is with these pictures of the parrot?” Kyiuma was unable to contain her curious, any longer. She knew within a right mind that she would not have been here, except she did find it somewhat interesting that she was here! This was the escaped thief’s hideout. Kyuima’s thoughts began to race as she was standing in a place where she could turn the escaped thief. She was physically standing next to Raizè, who lazily didn’t not seem to care that she he was sitting in the escaped thief’s hide out. As she began to walk around, noticing all the strange architectural details, which did not look like they were from Earth.

:Could Celestiaña be from another planet?: Her thoughts began to run, as her head filled with the numbers that the police were looking for. She could turn in the escaped criminal, and not have to worry about paying for her child’s extra fees for school. Looked at Raizè, who was now on the second floor, admiring the same pictures that Kyiuma was of the parrot. He had not seen these pictures before, and he was entranced by them.

“I wonder where this parrot is. It is a really colorful bird.” Raizè’s attention was on the painting, not on what he could be getting from the bounty.

“I really like the bird. It almost makes me want one of my own, except do not they talk a lot?” Kyiuma’s stare met Raizè’s, who just laughed at her.

“Yes, they mimic what you say, but you can teach them to say something after you say it. I think the guys at the shop might enjoy having a parrot. I’m sure Although I think those pictures were painted for her, or she found them somewhere, because those cannot be real.” Kyiuma and Rae kept looking at the paintings, and never heard Celestiaña walk out of a backroom. As Celestiaña did not see anyone, she walked into the of the room and looked up, and noticed the two humans staring at the pictures of the beloved royal parrot. Hr thoughts wandered back towards the time where she met with Xajuntás and the parrot.

Celestiaña’s powers were beginning to wear off, as the parrot had lost its different colored were now muted colors instead of the brightly colored ones. She was wanted for stealing the parrot and she had her powers were past the point of normal use. She did not realize what she was doing, nor if anyone had noticed that was the parrot missing. She had snuck into the royal chamber, taken the parrot, and snuck out the window. Although by the time she touched ground the parrots brightly colored feathers were beginning to fade, and the parrot had finally stopped making stopped moving

She did not dare turn on the television, which was onto of the manta/. The television as mounted above the mantle, but it was sunk into the stone tile, giving the effect that the television was built around the television. She could hear the Gaelican News Channel, with the breaking news that the beloved parrot was missing.

She was sitting in her headquarters, and although it was relatively late in the evening for most people, she saw her troops beginning to walk in. For any normal people, they would be asleep, however thieves, this was their playground. It was their time to shine, and they were going to take full advantage of it. Well, everyone except their commanding office. Celestiaña stood up, looking at her troops who were looking with wide eyes at the parrot. The beloved bird was sitting in a cage, its muted feathers and wings spanned to their fullest extent. Celestiaña looked at the bird and then turned towards her troops. Her voice was filled with tiredness, although it was apparent that she was quite spent on her powers, her demanding voice was still with her.

“Gentlemen, you are presenting yourselves tonight. As you can see, I’ve already had my fun for the evening. Take whatever you need, or want, and get out of here. The police will be here by morning. Go out for your activities and if you are caught do not mention this place. . “

“Ma’am? Do I have permission to talk?”

“Yes, please talk.” Celestiaña’s eyes eat tempting to find the person who was talking. “While your talking, come to the front, so I did not have to search for you.”

“Ma’am, some people are concerned about you. There are rumors going around that you are a convicted criminal. Is it true?” The thief had walked forward, and Celestiaña’s eyes widened. Before her, she was looking at her father. Their gazes met, and Celestiaña had to and Celestiaña could not do anything to stop herself from releasing alone tear that ran down her face. As they met their stares, the army had moved away from them. The parrot began to flap it’s wings in a distressed fashion.

“You stole the bird?” His voice was loud, angry and overall mean towards his daughter.

“I did not steal it, it just randomly flew by me, and took its perch upon my shoulder.”

“Celestiaña do you realize the trouble you are in? The trouble that I will have? I am theright hand man for the king! ”

“I know, Dad, and you should too, but look at it this way..” Celestiaña’s voice began to trial off, as h father’s eyes became la different color than she had normally seen it. The army circled around them, was beginning to take off running. Celestiaña began to move back from her father’ has he was beginning to light up the hideout with his blue aura.

“I understand what problems I might be getting into, but honestly, I did not take this bird.”

“Why do I not believe you?” Jachnue, looked at his daughter, and then turned on his heel and walked out shaking his head and mumbling under his breath. “You better not get me fired, or this an even better idea: You better be able to take care of yourself.”

“Why are you saying that I need to take care of myself?” Celestiaña’s eyes were puffy, red, and the tears were trickling down her cheeks one by one. She had not lost her composure yet, but she knew she would eventually.

“Because from here on out, you are no longer under my house. I can not live with someone who I know has stolen from the king.” After saying that, her father turned and walked out the door. He did not even close the door, but instead let the wind close the door. Celestiaña looked at the army, glared at them, and then picked up the parrot cage and headed for the open door.

“Do you like the pictures, Kyiuma?” Celestiaña’s voice was monotone, and her hand outstretched pointing to many of the parrot paintings.

“Yes, I do. They are extraordinary. Did you paint them yourself?”

“Oh heavens no! I cannot draw like that, Kyiuma.”

“Is this parrot real?” Her imagination began to spiral out of control as she began to think of the many different parrots she had seen which were this multicolored.

“Kyiuma, that parrot is indeed real.” Raizè chimed in, with his two cents. “Although I have not seen it, I do know it’s real, because a parrot on Earth cannot be that colorful.”

“Are you suggesting that the parrot is real?” Kyiuma’s eyes widened, glancing between Celestiaña and Raizè.

“Yes, that parrot is real.” Celestiaña looked unfazed by the look which Kyiuma was giving her. The look of disbelief was a normal sign which most people did not believe that there was another form of life, besides humans in the galaxy. Even for being the advanced technology universe that they were still not accepting of the concept. .

“Have you lost your mind thinking that there is another form of human in the galaxy?” Kyiuma’s eyes were dancing with curiousity.

“I am not suggesting, but I am saying that there is.” Raizè answered for Celestiaña who had already started to use her powers to scout out the surrounding areas. Celestiaña let out a breath of air, and then snapped her head up.

“Raizè, we have to leave now. If we d not leave now, I cannot get you out of safety, and myself out of police’s line of fire.”

“”What do you mean out of their line of fire?” Kyiuma looked at Celestiaña, who was now on the down on the first floor, with the holograph menu in front of her body. Her attention went towards Raizè who had a second holographic menu, and his fingers were running across an invisible keyboard.

“What she means is, they will kill her if she does not hide.” Raizè growled.

“She could just turn herself in, could she not?” Kyiuma stood behind Raizè, looking at the multiple holographic screens that were showing in front of his face, and then momentarily disappearing. Kyiuma looked as the many different assorted objects, paintings, and furniture was quickly disappearing, giving the building the appearance that it was still abandoned. :So this is how it was all done. It is an optical illusion.: Kyiuma never felt Raizè’s cold hand take her hand I jump down from the second story to the first story. When she came out of her trance, she opened her eyes, and felt a breeze. The Japanese woman who was flying from the second floor towards the first floor. She was expecting to hit the floor except she never did. Around her and Raizè, was a blue bubble, with a brownish tint appeared around them. Kyiuma’s red eyes met Celestiaña’s purple ones, and an understanding was met.

“Yes, Kyiuma, I am not human. I never was.” Celestiaña’s head snapped back to the building’s entrance, and felt her powers take over. Kyiuma stared at the escaped thief, who just saw the outfit change from the red summer kimono into a pair of black trousers, and a nice red tee shirt, which complimented her sky blue eyes, and blonde hair.

“Time for us to leave. There is a back door over there” Celestiaña pointed towards the door, which was hidden by a round column. As the trio left the building, Celestiaña grabbed their hands, and took towards the sky.

Unbeknownst towards the trio, the major military officer looked at the sky, and reached his powers out. He could feel Celestiaña using her powers, was not able to see her. Tripoli looked up at the sky. He did not say anything, but instead he gave the signal for the army to invade the basement. All Tripoli was left to do was shake his head, and wonder in amazement how she was able to get away from him again. He was fairly certain that the king was going to have his head. Not only had she taken the precious parrot, but she had taken the parrot’s prized photographs.

Tripoli looked at himself in the mirror. Instead of seeing his human appearance, his Gaelican appearance showed clearly through. He hated his sky blue hair, his eye color, his powers, and his darkened skin tone. :I have been spending way too much time on Earth.: He looked down at his inner forearm and saw the Gaelican military tattoo (as they liked to call them). His honor was serving towards his country, and regardless of what anyone thought, he was not human.

The military general looked at the troop who came out of the abdonned building, with long faces revealing that there was not a single thing in there. Of course, he could not just say that she was, in fact, in the building because he had no way of proving it. His skin was on the line for the king, and if he was thrown out of the military, then his status would be removed. However if he did not get the pictures back, he would be thrown out of the military. As Tripoli stared up at the sky, his mind reeled back to the morning after the parrot went missing.

Everyone in the castle was running around, getting out of the way of their king, who was fuming and hollering every curse word under the sun, in many different languages. Most of the staff knew selected words and languages, but thankfully no one was able to understand fully what their king was saying. Tripoli was on the receiving end of a verbal trashing. The military general walked into the throne room, for the weekly meeting with the other military generals. His uniform was decorated with pins, ribbons and assorted military decorations, however someone in the ruling family might notice that the general was not wearing his cape which the family’s crest was embroidered into the cape.

As Xajuntás walked into the throne room for the weekly meeting with the generals, his eyes flew towards the empty bird cage. His eyes turned from the army, towards the close group of his father’s advisors, and then laid eyes upon his parents. Everyone was in shock, and yet, no one had said anything since he walked in. The young prince looked at the empty bird cage, and then met his general’s eyes.

“Do you have any leads on where the parrot is?” No one moved, and no one dared to say anything. Xajuntás looked at his parents and then turned back around towards his army. As he turned around, his cape billowed out from under him, and his eyes danced with fury. “Someone answer me damn it!”

“Sir, there are zero leads.” Tripoli answered, while bowing to his commanding officer. As the general bowed, he lowered his head, and placed his left elbow on his knee, and clenched his hand into a fist, which he laid right below his shoulder.

“If there are zero leads, why are you standing here?” Xajuntás looked down at his general, and then turned on his heel towards the large oak doors which when closed revealed the family crest. The only sound was the general rising to his feet, and the opening of the oak doors. As Xajuntás opened the door, his father called out:

“Xajuntás do not try to leave. You were in here last night, explain yourself.” His father’s tone range clear, and everyone in the room held their breaths. This was going to be an argument in which no one wanted to miss. Xajuntás just stared at the family crest, his right hand tracing over the crest. As he ran his hand over the left unicorn, who was revved on it’s hind legs, he had not realized that it was that detailed. On the horn, you could trace your hand over where the rings were supposed to be. ON the other side of the crest, was a dragon, with it’s blue aura around the red dragon. He hated the crest actually. Their military capes were green and yellow, not white and red, so where did the dragon and unicorn come into play? His mind r His mind wandered away from as he was staring at the crest.

“Father on our crest, why do we have the green yellow colors if our animals are the unicorn and the dragon?” Xajuntás turned around to face his father, who was fuming angrily at his son.

“How is that you are able to wonder about the family crest, even thought you have lived here all your life? How can you wonder about it at a time like this?”

“I am not wondering, I am just asking. Why not wonder about it now, when we have nothing else to do, but wonder about a missing parrot?” Xajuntás was not attempting to be smart, however, it was appearing that his tone was going to show it. His father caught on, and lifted his hand, to Xajuntás chest, and left his anger seep through his hand and towards his powers. Xajuntás felt the power surging towards him, in an arrow like form, and. Even though he could feel it, it could not attempt to dodge it, because as soon as it clicked in to his mind, he was caught by it, and felt the oak doors meeting with his back. Xajuntás mother winced slightly as everyone heard the sound of Xajuntás landing against the door.

“Now, tell me again, why were you in the throne room late last night?” His father lowered his arm, and then looked sternly at his son again. Xajuntas looked at his father, who just looked back at him, and then opened his mouth to speak.

“I walked into the throne room because I was unable to sleep last night. When I walked in here, I did not notice the parrot was gone.” Xajuntás looked at his father and his sky blue eyes boring holes into his father’s red ones. The entire army looked at the king, and then their general, and waited for a response.

“That is fine then. You probably were just walking in here o go to someone else’s room, and then wandered back to your own room. Are you sure you did not see anything?” His father moved back into his throne, and took his wives’ hand in his own hand. The queen tightened the grip on her husband’s hand and then smiled at her son.

“I am positive. No one was in here, it was just me.” Xajuntás looked at his army and then realized that they were looking at him. “You are all dismissed.” His tone was one in which the army knew to get out of there. Line by line, the army left the throne room, leaving the ruling family looking at one another. The guards that were outside the oak doors had now come inside, and quietly had taken their posts. When they were inside the throne room, their positions were not a normal standing one, instead they were kneeling with their right knee on the ground, and their left hand clasped around the halberd, and their heads staring right at the king. Xajuntás found it odd that the guards obeyed him - he was a price after all - but they still followed him, and did whatever he told them; even in a joking manner.

Xajuntás could not say that he saw the bird fly away, and that he knew the trial led to somewhere, but he was not about ready to admit that towards hi father. If he did, there surely would be more than his back meeting the oak doors. His back was beginning to sting as he felt the oak handle beginning to create a pain in his lower back. As his father’s powers did not seem to be wearing off, he attempted not to make any movement t or signs of disrespect.

“Father, can - can I please be put down?” Xajuntás looked at his father with pleading eyes, who with a gesture of his hand, never looked to see his son fall towards the floor. “Xajuntás, while you are at it, go work on your magical powers. They are in need of some work.” You are free to go.” Xajuntás opened the doors, and saw his general Tripoli, standing there looking at the price.

“Did I not tell you leave?” Xajuntas was rubbing his lower back, and attempted not to show ny signs of discomfort.

“Yes, Sir, but I am your friend, and I am also your guard, if you happened to forget while your father was throwing you against the doors. Now come, you need to work on your military tactics and your magical powers” Tripoli grabbed the prince’s upper arm, and dragged the young prince towards the magical weekly magical assessment.

Tripolia was jolted back to the modern world, as he saw the army coming back from inside the house.

“It is empty sir. There is nothing in there.” A guard informed him.

“Then they escaped. We attempted his lead, but it seems that they knew we were coming. We need to be quieter next time.” Tripoli warned his guards. “Now, let us get back to the headquarters, and we will work on finding some more leads.” Tripoli dismissed them, and then turned around to face his group. The guards had started getting into their cars and began driving off back towards headquarters. Tripoli looked at the trees, and then lifted his palm towards the sky, and saw the silver crest reflecting in the sun. He took his right hand fingers and ran them over the crest. While he was doing so, he began to whisper: “The unicorn symbolizes our magical abilities. The dragon symbolizes our fierce warrior like society. The green color is our uniqueness, and our yellow color represents our society as a whole. The shield is a representation of our strong and close relationship with our king, and the vine leaves show that we are a society who is willing to agree when needed.” Tripoli closed his eyes, and heard the leaves being crunched as someone walked towards him.

In a females voice, he barely heard the words:

“ . . . I am a guard, and my duty is to protect the king. It is within in my power to serve the king. I am not obligated to follow any orders which are not given from the king. However, if the order comes from the . . .” The voice began to drift off, and Tripoli ran towards the trees. As he ran, the creed began floating through his mind, and his voice was beginning to become hoarse as he ran and attempted to continue the passage:

“If the orders do not come from the king, I am not obligated to follow them, unless they come from the ruling family. I only know that my destiny is for the king, and to protect the people. I am a member of the Gaelic society, and that is my duty. I am the only magical and superior race on the face of the planet. I have overcome battles, and my job was to protect the prince. . .” Tripoli’s voice began to die off as he reached the woods, and realized the female voice was inside of his head. He sighed, and lifted his eyes towards the sky, and quietly whispered, ignoring the police walkie talkie:

“I am sorry my prince. I have failed you.” Tripoli walked towards his car, got in, and attempted to ignore the feelings and images that were racing through his thoughts. He was no longer on Galicia, and he was no longer in that army. He had a job to do on Earth, and that was to find Celestiaña, and keep her behind bars.
