happy, fluffy, schmoopy enough for you? veritas_stFebruary 20 2012, 19:22:01 UTC
It's not like Harvey Specter gets nervous, and even if he did, he wouldn't be right now because he's never been more sure of anything in his entire life.
Mike grins at him across the space between them in the glass elevator and Harvey swallows around the lump in his throat and pushes the flutter of stupid girly butterflies in his stomach down, "you ok," Mike asks and Harvey nods, reaches into his pocket and pulls out a box and Mike's eyes go wide, and he's nodding before Harvey can even ask the question.

D'awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!
I'm making that squealy noise again that you have to hear to believe. And I'm grinning like a loon. And clutching my heart. It's perfect and wonderful and all things good in the world. Like kittens cuddling dogs. And dolphins playing with turtles. And parrots singing love songs. And... I love it! Thank You!!!
These are stupidly long sentences...veritas_stFebruary 20 2012, 19:10:58 UTC
He hadn't been on Brian's crack team long (there was Mikey, his co-pilot, Emmett, who had an uncanny ability to pick just the right place to release the bombs, Ben, who manned the gun on the belly of the plane, and Ted, boring, but who was a genius navigator) when Brian realised Justin had a sunshine smile a mile wide and an almost artistic ability to make the plane, Brian's plane, Babylon, practically sing under his hands.
It took him longer to figure out he needed the kid, not just on his team, to patch the plane up and keep her flying, but actually needed him, his hands on Brian and his smile lighting up his face, and his kisses stolen when the rest of the team were out partying yet another success and Brian couldn't bare to drag himself away from BabylonIt took him until after the war was finished, and they were finally back on US soil, victories under their belts and a sense of freedom that the war had seemed to strip from them finally back on their shoulders, to figure out that he loved the kid, and that anyone else who said
( ... )
Harvey can still remember the day the kid came in, looking gaunt and tired, with a bruise across his cheek that Harvey later found out came from the kids smart mouth, blue eyes that burned with an intelligence that could be life threatening out here when the only intelligence you needed was the one that kept your head down and eyes averted

I KNOW!!!!!!!!! hence the headdesking
"Don't ask me," Mike says one day, when Harvey catches him in the library again, and there's a bruise under his eyes that Harvey can't help but reach out and run his fingers across lightly, Mike flinches slightly but lifts his gaze to Harvey's and Mike's lips part and his tongue darts out to moisten the bottom one.
"Don't ask you what," Harvey replies, trying to ignore the almost burning need to kiss the obviously scared kid, Mike pulls out of his grasp, rubs at his cheek with the heel of his hand and Harvey wonders if he got it in a fight, or because he let his mouth run away with him again.
"Don't ask what I'm in for," he says, and Harvey can hear the unspoken I don't want you to look differently at me in Mike's words and his fingers itch to touch him, to reassure him, that it doesn't matter to Harvey what he did, as long as he keeps his head down and stays safe, they might one day, in the long distance future, be able to explore this building tension between them.
Brian sometimes wonders if Linds did it on purpose, if she suspected Brian's..ahem...darker tendencies and hired Justin With the Bubble Butt (that's his full name, obviously) on purpose
