I LOVE that Raye wasn't covered in insane amounts of make-up or anything, as she definitely doesn't need it. And then her and Jake! I love the instant attraction between them, the fact that he stands out from the ritzy crowd, and that Raye was so candid with him! And the names ... Winston Newport III. *shudder*

I'm working on an AR that has Rei's dad's name as something that oozes money, too. Thankfully, Rei stays as Rei.

Fantastic description, too, with the whole meeting of the eyes across the club. I felt like you transported me there, and I could practically FEEL the electricity between them.

Eeeepp! Basically, I loved EVERYTHING. You are going to ROCK Ficathon. I can't wait to see what you've got in store for that!!

And yes, we definitely see the discrepancy between Raye and her friend Heather. As for Jadeite, you always depict him super well, so it works!! Oh angst ... I'm not even sure what song(s) I'm going to use yet. ^^;

Although, now when I'm listening to the radio or etc, I try to see if I can make a fic out of the lyrics.

I just totally "HAAA!"ed at Winston Newport's name, because Newports must be the nastiest freaking cigarette on the face of the planet, and anyone who would think to name their child that needs their head examined.

I really like how your Jadeite is always down to earth...it's a nice touch and makes me like him a bazillion times more than usual. And here's an excellent piece:

LOL. The name was originally just "Winston", but I couldn't resist, because... yeah. I beg to differ about Newports being the nastiest, though. Smoker's choice = SO much worse! SO MUCH STINK OMG!!!! I can see why they're like a buck fifty a pack, ugh.

I'm kind of working on a conclusion to this piece, but it's like... EXPOSITION CENTRAL and irritating me to no end, meh. It won't be a huge multi-part thing like Magnolias in Bloom, but... this snippet kind of left off in the middle of things.
