It is going to be so cold tomorrow morning...single digits with the wind chill. This is totally atypical for the south at this time of year. In January, maybe. Below freezing temps before Christmas? GASP AND MOAN

Small dogs are easier to bathe and don't seem to stink as much as big dogs anyway.
It reaaaally depends on the type of dog. Some dogs are just smellier than others. My parents dog, Lucy, is a golden and smells if she doesn't get her bath but she's otherwise okay. Our german shepard tho.. man did she stink CONSTANTLY.
At least if it is a stinky dog giving it baths in the sink or bathtub shouldn't be too difficult ^^;;
Believe you me, there will plenty of fur-sniffing going on before I adopt a dog. My friend has an eskimo spitz and he barely smells at all. Jaroby could knock you out with his stink -_-
A lot of doggy smell also tends to come from the food they're fed, believe it or not. Dogs (and cats!) on higher-quality foods have glossier coats, shed less, don't smell as much, and have less stinky poops. It's like magic!
I became a picky, picky label reader when I got Sasha, and I can't say enough for it. It is a bit sobering, though, once you realize what junk most pet food is. Even the supposedly good stuff, like Science Diet. :\
Petfinder.com is a great site for finding local shelters with animals. Just put in some options and a zip code, and zoom zoom! I highly recommend it, since a lot of small foster shelters only list pets through there, and you can miss out on a lot of potential adoptees if you just hit the big shelters.
I can't believe it's that cold over there! Omg! It's totally not that cold over here, been in the constant 40s and 50s, so good cute coat weather. be soooo glad you're not an opening barista at Starbucks, they make you get up at 2:30 am!!!!! Everything is going well here, your room look soooo cute, i wish i had cash moneys to make my house look nice too but i'm sure that will come in good time. I've been looking everywhere for "the dog" that will be ours ^.^ It will be a small dog (maybe a schnoodle?) anyways i'm super excited. Mini dachhounds are super cute, hard to find at shelters and stuff tho. Maybe there is a local breeder in sc? double check on that. Miss and love youu!!! I'm coming home in a month!
