Yeah - I can spend weeks on Morrowind, but nobody minds if I don't play for three months in between! I appreciate what you are saying - Hubby and both boys have an Eve Corps, and I have almost become an Eve widow! Just as well we have virtually no social life anyway!
You are, of course, assuming I have one to begin with. But thanks for the warning. Atm I shall wait to see how the kids manage with the shared account. I may be tempted, but only after my current OU course finishes in October.
WoW is an exceptionally good game. I've been playing MMORPGs since before we had the WWW, and leaving aside the aesthetic beauty of playing purely text-based online games, this is the best graphical online game I have ever played.
Not just because the graphics are excellent, and the game runs smoothly (most of the time), but because the entire character progression and quest progressing works very, very well. The interactions between groups of players is excellent, so questing in groups works very well. The player-on-player combat also works very well and you don't have to get invovled in it if you don't want to. All in all, an excellent game, but it will suck you in and cost you time.
If you do join, or if your kids do, join the server called 'dragonblight' where my characters are and I can give you some tips, help and better starting equipment.
Thanks for the offer, but sorry, Boy1 and Boy2 (cloudstrafer are already logged onto another server.
Very kind of you though! I will ask you if they get stuck anywhere, but there does seem to be a lot of information available online - and Boy2 has hardly spoken to me today - he's been so absorbed! That can only be good for me!
Been staying up far too late and trying to level up my character. Don't know if she'll ever meet your character, but she's called Efgamia, if you wanted to add her to your friends list.
At least its now shared by both my hubby and the boys - they are all very generous with their time and I find the whole game is geared to mutual help between player characters, so am doing quite well so far. The best is doing family quests in dungeons where we have three pcs here in the same room and only have to type instructions to one other player to orchestrate our team moves. I know I'm a little bit sad, but we don't get out much these days!
Thanks for the help anyway. Efgamia.......I mean Sylph

Oneline games tend to suck you in to do more more more more and ...
Well you get the idea!
If you do decide to play (and WoW is quite good by all accounts) be very careful with the time you spend on it.

That game is evil and highly addictive (hence it's nick name 'WarCrack'). It'll swallow your life.

Point them at www.thobot.com and www.worldofwarcraft.net, which are the two best sites I have found.
You may well have lost them for a good couple of months though.
I've been playing for 1 month and am still terribly addicted.
