Misperceptions

Friday I went to an intimate wine dinner at Restaurant Eugene. We got to eat with the restaurant owner and a wine importer and try a sampling of different beaujolais as well as meet some other wine enthusiasts. I think there are worse fates than being considered a well cultured, albeit kept, hot piece of ass :P I am highly amused by this post.

At least you can also converse with them on "their level" or whatever. All that and brains too?!

I suppose there are.

And I think I do surprise people with how much I actually know which is a bit of a thrill. My response to "How many of these things do you get dragged to?" was a blanket assertion that I (unlike Russell) do not attend just *any* event and carefully select which ones I do based on what I feel the quality of the wines presented will be and caliber of the restaurant. :P
