okay, i know i'm two weeks late on this, but i finally saw the dark knight, and holy shit. it was, like, ludicrously epic. i've never been a particular fan of comic books or even action movies, but heath ledger alone had me literally on the edge of my seat. i think i will have to see it again soon, provided that my stupid job eventually releases me ( Read more... )

If someone said I reminded them of Juno I'd dazzle a little bit inside.

I still haven't seen The Dark Knight at all, but you sound like a lot of my friends saying how amazing it is. Now the counter culture part of me, or whatever you want to call it, demands that I don't see it just as a kick in pop culture's balls.

Would it have been as good if it wasn't for Heath Ledger's bits? Because I've heard that without Heath it would have been mediocre at best.

definitely see it. it's so, so worth it.

i think the whole movie is very good - visually it's very appealing, and all of the acting is great. however, heath ledger's performance made the whole thing so much better. i'm usually underwhelmed by movie villains, because they're two-dimensional and their plots for world domination are stupid, but the joker is genuinely terrifying. his character gives the movie more intellectual depth, i think.

Recently, a completely incoherent creepy crazy man came into Shaw's and wouldn't leave. As well as some lady with a "therapy parrot." I think I'm quitting... again, and hopefully getting a job at the Coop.
