The bit where the camera panned back and we saw the plume of smoke in the sky... It was a gut punch. Then, thinking about what the sirens we heard, that had saved Danny, were actually doing...
Fantastic story telling.
And the boys and the bomb and the tears and the hugs and the team...
I think we'll be flailing for a while longer. I know I will.
I'm still taking it in. The whole 9/11 thing was huge. I fast forwarded through the end of the beating up scene, so I didn't get the full build-up to that moment. I'm going to have to force myself to watch that scene again all the way through. Danny survived because of 9/11.=HUGE Borrowed time, indeed. Just, wow.
I was curled up on my chair, hugging my blanket at that beating scene. Just going, "no, Danny, no." And then we got to the 9/11 thing, and I was just stunned. Borrowed time, yes. Oh man. This episode just slayed me.
Peter's being very good to us this year - maybe to make up for last year?
loved ALL of it - and I hate to say it (because they did this to me) but I'm kind of used to overt sexism on Tv shows now - thats all they've really got coz they aren't cable....but whatcha gonna do?
all I did was ignore it and move on...but I love your recap! Thx ♥♥
Their being not cable is not related to what type of nudity or sexist camera angles they show. It's just annoying, and they can make perfectly good tv without it, so why do it? I don't want it on my screen.
Yes yes yes to pretty much everything you've said. There's so much good stuff in this ep it's hard to talk about it, other than OMG that hug, and Steve's teary eyes, and how it's impossible to take your eyes off of Scotty because he's just that awesome!
