I'm excited for the little panda. Do they all have to have Chinese names? It's actually quite beautiful in Chinese characters.

They all have Chinese names, as a sign of respect for allowing us to help keep the species around, I believe. I just didn't like the actual English letters; Mei Lan doesn't look that pretty. This is the first birth at Zoo Atlanta. If you go to ZooAtlanta, they have a panda cam.
