There's a whole bunch of decent fridge/freezers in Wellington going on TradeMe for $50. Like, a lot. At least 10 at $50 reserves and they're not all completely crap.

And you're somewhat exaggerating the two minute walk thing. I suppose you'd get there in under 2 mins if you sprinted as fast as you could.

Yay for your big exciting moving out news!

I'm sure you'll get the whole gas/power/phone/internet/everything else thing sorted out, no problems.

You also really won't have any trouble finding a third flat-mate. You could even offer it to one of the people on wellingtonnz who keep advertising for somewhere to live.
