No, they have only diluted the pure, un-adultered awesome of the Coenn Brothers' masterpiece by attempting to make it Shakespeare-ized. Which, y'know, if Shakespeare had actually written The Big Lebowski, it would have diminished the movie even if it had been exactly the same, just written by a different person.

Your hate for Shakespeare exceeds even my love for hyperbole. In reality, the thing I loved about it was the fact that I could back-convert lines from the play to lines from the film in my head, and I think we can all agree that the movie is the greatest thing ever!
