Ouch. Way too much reality for poor George here. For some reason, the extreme backup plan I've had in my mind this whole time was to run to Canada. Somewhere along the way I forgot that vampires were, you know, everywhere. ^^'

I am hoping we get a look at Chauncey; he's either going to be a really awesome guy or a really horrible one. I have no idea how this whole thing is going to end. It could go one of a few ways, but the option Chuck is offering just seems so unsatisfactory. Poor George. I think I've said this before, but Geo's ongoing string of futility is one of my favorite themes in this work.

Yeah, Canada is more of the same. In order for the vampires to pull off their coup, they had to take over the entire world. There really is no where for George to go.

George does seem to be banging his head uselessly against the situation, but it all will come to something in the end. The pieces are nearly in place.

Chuck brought up Jeffrey as a candidate. *looks at him suspiciously* Jeffrey who is politically motivated, who with the hunt for George has galvanized the vampire community to acting in a manner that he espouses.

Jeffrey would be extremely flattered by that comment. Right at this moment he's feeling pretty frustrated though.

Heh, you probably won't see the next chapter coming either. (Or possibly it'll take two chapters, but I'm pretty sure it won't).

loved it ,chuck was no better than the others ,at least they didn't act like they would help them .its not really much of a resistance .I only hope he can stay with wally .I hate to say it but he would have been better off waiting for jeffery ,at least with him he didn't give him false hope .

Well, if the only metric we are looking at is getting George out of having a patron, yeah, Chuck failed. But I'm not sure I'd put him in the same catagory as Abram. It's true, Jeffrey never gave him false hope.

I agree that chuck is not as bad as Abram or even natalie ,but its just a bummer for George .He was putting so much faith in them getting him totally out of this mess -not finding him a "new" owner .All the poor guy wants to do its to go home and forget this ever happened and it doesn't look too good for that .

All George wants is something completely and utterly unreasonable: to make his blood taste differently from what it does. Blame the messengers all he might, it's his own body that betrayed him. The vampires are just acting in their nature and Chuck is looking out for his organization.
