Your very best "meat" loaf recipes! I've been craving it lately, and I have no idea how to make it! I'm completely overwhelmed with the amount of loaf recipes I've seen. I want something so good you'd easily say it was the best one you've ever eaten ( Read more... )

I found the link, but it doesn't work for me either. It sounds really great! Sounds like just what I need. I have the ingredients, just not the amounts. I can keep checking back to see if it's up later. Thank so much! :D

If you're looking for something that actually seems like meat, I recommend getting some "Gimme Lean" and following a standard meatloaf recipe. It is the only ground meat style meat alternative I have found that holds together and cooks like the real thing. When I am craving Mom's meatballs, I use a package of the ground beef style, and 1/2 package of the sausage style and follow her recipe. Meat-eaters have eaten my meatballs and not even known they were vegetarian until they noticed that my family was also eating them.

Yup, I do this. Gimmie lean (I use sausage style) + morningstar crumbles + the rest of my mom's meatloaf recipe.

i'd personally suggest going to vegancooking and using the tags to look at various recipes. you don't have to join to look through the tags and it has a gold mine of very well-organized recipes.
