Fucking about with AeroFS
I'm currently fucking about with AeroFS - the P2P version of DropBox.
Seems to work nicely through firewalls (80 and 443 outbound), communicates over SSL and uses a 2048-bits RSA key for data encryption. I have to wonder why they don't use DSA, but hey.

Mmm, burgers.
I've been craving proper burgers for a few days, now, and so tonight we attempted fixing that. The Cheesecake Café is already well-known to me for it's proper food, but I wanted something different. Cue the shining knight on his white Google :-)

Windows Weirdness
Although I'm not a Redmond fan (shock horror), I do feel that NTFS is a pretty decent filesystem.
I've read up on it's guts some time ago, and it supports lots of fine features like symlinks and the like. ACLs are also supported natively, and additionally it's internal structures are reasonably straightforward. In fact, the major issue I have with ( Read more... ) -
