NBC is cancelling Will and Grace. I have many fond memories of watching that show in the dorms at UF...those were, um, interesting times :-)

So this is really my first extended stay home since moving to Charleston, and things are just weird. So I'm staying with my dad, and it's great that he is home and doing well (he was in the hospital for three weeks). I started my Christmas shopping today...good lord. I love Christmas, but it was pretty exhausting. I bought some goodies for me too...I got a cookie press and a madeleine pan...I plan on baking cookies for the office.

I get Confederate Memorial Day as a paid holiday from work. Rock on.
Common Law here is three months. Vic is my common law husband on 18 Aug. We're celebrating with a baseball game, and just for shits and giggles we're making it our anniversary, since we really don't have one.

So I offically start work a week from today...I'm excited, but also nervous. There's a lot I have to do before I start. I'm definitely looking forward to being gainfully employed, though! I just got back from accepting the job that the State of South Carolina just offered me. I am so excited about this...the director told me how impressed she was with my interview and how awesome my references were, which made me feel really good. I had my first job interview today in Charleston. I am very excited, but it doesn't pay as well as I had hoped (still beats retail). Not a sure thing, and I don't want to jinx it, but I felt like the interview went really well. Wish me luck!
