Films: Just the one this month, Burn After Reading, which was odd, and fun, and decidedly better in the second half than the first. I'm not sure how come John Malkovich looked ten years older than the last time I saw him, and Brad Pitt looked ten years younger.

Never heard of Jane Taylor but the songs on her MySpace page sound pretty good and she even lists Tom McRae as an influence. Intriguing.

I saw her play the Glee Club a fair old while ago, supporting Chris Tye, I think. Her previous album, Montpelier, is a thing of beauty. The new album, Compass, is a little bit different - more collaborative, less reliant on her voice to carry it, but I like it very much.
