avoid acidic foods and, in general, anything that makes your stomach active. this would include onion, tomato, most berries, hot peppers, hot sauce, ginger, and curries. and definitely anything having to do with citrus, including lemons. think mild, cooling foods such as cucumber, cilantro, non-spicy dishes, nut milks, tofu, raw leafy greens, and beans if you handle them well. also steer clear of alcohol. it may not be that you have to adhere to this forever, but for the meantime your body needs to heal and find balance. i am a nurse with a background of ayurveda and herbal medicine; i hope that this helps!
