I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or not, but we recently adopted a cat (in early August), and for the first 3-4 weeks, I was constantly stuffy and feeling miserable if she was within three feet of me. I started brushing her, and vacuuming our apartment more often, and it's pretty much gone. Another thing was, she would come into our room all night and sleep on my chest or next to my head and I would wake up with the nastiest stuffy or runny nose, and big puffy eyes. So I started closing our bedroom door at night too, and that made most of the problems go away too. Our cat was already spayed, so I have no idea if that has anything to do with it.. But another thing that seemed to make me less allergic feeling was we changed from "wheat scoop" litter, to the little pine pellets. I think that with mild allergies, that your body will just adjust and build antibodies. If he's never been around cats before (like myself), it's a good possibility that his body just needs to adjust to having the fur and cat dander in the air.
Shirley's Wellness Cafe also has some good information about naturally getting rid of allergies in humans and other animals. A person can get rid of allergies for good without having to get meds or shots.
I don't have any allergies, but I want to try taking glyconutrient supplements for better health.
I don't think animals should be neutered. It's unnatural and a product of the anti-animal rights movement. They're not our slaves-they are intelligent beings that should be free to live as they desire.
