Hi everyone,
I'm a vegan who recently took in an abandoned, abused-by-their-previous-owner cat, and I have a question that I was hoping the intelligent pet owners in this community could answer. (I was kind of horrified by the pet communities that are on LJ..I need real advice, not pictures of cats hiding under newspapers x 1000!)
Has anyone here had the experience of being allergic to a cat and then getting over it, the longer you have the cat? My boyfriend is mildly allergic, and I really want to keep this cat, but I don't want to have him constantly feel uncomfortable in our apartment. Also, right now it's not neutered, but will be on Friday by the adoption agency we're using..has anyone had an experience with allergies before and after a cat's been neutered? I've read on google that neutered cats are easier on allergies, but I don't know if I can count on that.
