Food in NYC?

Dec 27, 2011 09:55

We are heading up to new York city sometime on Friday and leaving at 3am Sunday. Where would you go to eat if you had a day to eat as much food as possible? I am searching happycow and such, but there are way too many options! Thanks for the suggestions!!

I had good experiences in the "little korea" area in midtown. In particular, I liked Hangawi - a Korean vegetarian restaurant where you take your shoes off on entry and sit on big comfy cushions at low tables - lovely atmosphere and great food.

I'm a sweets gal so LULA's and Cinnamon Snail.
I want to run a race in NY so I can have my buddy there drag me all over stuffing food in my face. Lula's Sweet Apothecary is sooooo topping my list, though.

Candle 79 was THE BEST vegan food that I and my (voraciously omnivorous) family had ever eaten. That's coming from my sister who snears at the idea of vegetarian food, too. It's ritzy and pricey, but worth it.
