Why wasn't the doctor who did the lab work able to talk to you about this?

I wouldn't really trust what people here tell you first- talk to a doctor about this.

The lab work was offered free of doctor prescription-- just like average people can go to a health fair to get various tests done for a low fee. They did an employee health fair. It's up to myself to bring it to my regular doctor, of which I ahhve none.

Mostly, I didn't want to discuss whether I REALLY had anything wrong with me. I wanted to see how other folks were coming up with their labs as they are also Vegan. Mostly encouraging idle thought and comparison of scores, like perhaps these things are usually high for Vegans etc etc.

I never asked for medical advice-- I asked for thoughts.

See a doctor.

There are better tests for thyroid function; relying on t4 alone is useless. Were you fasted? That would give different answers to your trig question. Hypothyroidism is one explanation, if you were fasted.

Also - who told you that your bloodwork clears you of cancer?

And Iw as fasted for 12 hours before the blood was drawn.

As I said, I looked at various websites that described what each section of my lab reports were indicators of. I also spoke with a lab technician. Although I know they can't have checked for ALL the cancers, I know they ruled out a few.

I had every intentions of discussing this with a doctor and it was mentioned in the original and actual post that I would.

I have to say that you're just being nasty and not very helpful.

I tried eating raw for 2 weeks and had some amazing results that I want to repeat. After my 2 week experiment though, I haven't gotten back on that bandwagon (as you could see with my oreo binge haha). After some discussion with other raw foodists, they said the characteristic euphoria some raw foodists experience are only achieved with an 80/10/10 diet. and who doesn't want that natural healthy euphoria to be in their life? rhetorically speaking

I think it could have been the 2-3 weeks of eating like crap... if you had said you did the opposite (2-3 weeks of great diet and then 2 days of absolute crap) I wouldn't blame the short term diet on the effects. Anyhowww I am getting my blood work done soon, I'll let you know if I get anything similar!

that's cool! purpose of my post was more for comparison then anything else. ^_^ When all my coworkers got our results we all discussed this and that but since my diet is completely different from anyone else s there wasn't much to compare!

will be glad to hear from you ^^

My husband and I got some lab work done about a half year ago at a health fair, and everything was spot on! My cholesterol was 111 and his was 100 (that snot - I was vegan then when he was still a cheese-aholic veggie!). However, my HDL was 24, so they recommended cardiovascular exercise to help raise it. Our triglycerides were normal, though. The guy reading our results was very impressed - he said most our age were already showing signs of impending health problems.

hummmmmmmm-- that's interesting that your HDL was very similar to mine.

I think I really just want to take my labs again in like 6 months. I'm for sure I wasn't properly fasted either, as I read you're supposed to be like 12-14 hrs and I was barely 12

that's cool that you're healthy though! It's real neat to see the actual numbers of our change compared to other folk
