So I'm in Paris, and the hotel I'm staying at has this chocolate quinoa cereal, and it's pretty amazing. The first time I tried it I was slightly disgusted by the combination, but it's growing on me. And from what I could tell it was vegan. I'm coming back to the states tomorrow and I was wondering if you guys had seen something like it there. ( Read more... )

Oops, should have mentioned http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk as there are lots of options to get to both Hackney (I'd never use the train there anyway, too far to walk compared to the bus) and the east end.

Glad you had a good time on the Saturday anyway :)

yeah i knew beforehand that they like to close certain services on the weekends but geez! i would have hoped that they would have said something before I was practically there. but i guess it's good that it was closed, since i would have been hobbling too far after i got off the train. i just so wanted fluffy pancakes!!
but i got to go to Hyde Park, so it was a perfect day anyways. and i got to know the train system really, really well since I rode it for like an hour and a half. so now when i move to london somehow, i will already know all the lines!

what's with those greens? do you have any kind of idea what they're cooked in, cause if I could make my greens taste like that then maybe i'd eat them once in awhile.
i love my new SSOV bag. i can't wait to take it into work!

I add chocolate chips to hot whole grain cereal all the time. I am sure it would work well in quinoa too.

I'm sorry your London trip didn't go as well as planned, but THANK YOU for all those tips on places to go! I'm heading there next week, so will def be checking out a couple of those cafes and the Secret Society of Vegans. :)
