environmental impact of meat

wow i can't believe i never posted this!

last weekend, there was this 'green expo' in philadelphia. some friends and i decided that we would go to the convention center and talk to people outside as they came/went about one of the biggest and most ignored topics concerning the environment: meat production.

Thank you so much for posting this. My parents are huge environmentalists, and while they've been cutting back on meat consumption, I always want them to do more! I just copy and pasted the reasons and sent it to them!!

Yes it went well. My father emailed me back and said he would send it around to others who care!

My parents - well my father runs an environmental nonprofit (for 25 years not), and my mothers become rather environmentally conscious ever since she married him. Their environmentalism has actually led them to cut down a little bit on meat. Just not as much as I would like.

from what I understand, it's pretty minimal, we need more plants to absorb CO2 though.
