Now that I think of it, it's almost as if I am respecting the animal more because that piece of meat is being used for TWO purposes. Instead of merely giving sustenance to the dogs, I am able to put it to even more use beforehand. Kind of like the Native Americans wanting to use all of the animal as a show of respect.
