Other than talking to a doctor or nutrionist to see if there could be something else causing the weight loss I would suggest eating more foods that have healthy fats such as avocadoes, coconuts, olives and nuts.

Hmm, I didn't experienced significant weight-loss when I first was vegan, but I'm pretty small already. I find that I have a small appetite when it comes to meals, so instead I graze. I eat usually 6 mini meals that are nutrient-rich and that keeps me going throughout the day. I also keep almonds in my purse and snack on those when I'm feeling hungry on the go.

Sorry, that doesn't really address your problem, but it's helped me maintain my body weight.

I remember having similar problems with my cycle when I first became vegan, but then again my period has never been regular. Birth control fixed it completely, now I'm as regular as possible.
Definitely eat more tofu, or seitan or tempeh (which is amazing for you). Are you replacing your dairy with vegan alternatives? Personally I don't eat any differently from when I wasn't vegan...as in I eat the same things only I've changed recipes to include the vegan equals. If you think your doctor will be cool with your vegan-lifestyle, you could ask him/her for help?

Are you getting enough fats in your diet? Add nuts, seeds and healthy oils to just about everything you eat!
Oh, and you have you checked out Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World? Not that I'd recommend keeping your weight up with unhealthy foods, but... CUPCAKES!

Do you eat any fats aside from peanut butter? Dairy and eggs have a fair amount of fat in them, and your body might be missing that. Good fat sources like nuts, avocadoes, seeds, tahini, canola oil, flax oil, olive oil, etc. You might be eating a lot volume-wise but just not as many calories as you consumed as a lacto-ovo, and clearly your body liked having more calories.

Frankly I gained weight when I went vegan because I started to enjoy food so much more, and I tend to OVER-indulge in plant-based fats.

But yes, I'd say if you're eating the same amount of calories and the problem persists you should definitely check it out with a doctor.
