Made me really upset.

Rummaging Raccoon Drops TreatA raccoon rummaging near a dumpster near a school was trapped under a large container. The raccoon struggled to free itself and dropped a lollipop it had scavenged from the trash bin. A young boy watching the incident picked the lollipop up and put it in his mouth

because i have no idea what i would do.

wow, I had no idea that the only way to test for rabies was to kill the animal first. that's horrible. and to think... when i had a puppy he had a really bad seizure once where he was foaming at the mouth and growling at us. we had never had a pet so we thought it might be rabies. i called the police (who were of absolutely NO help and were very rude) and they said all they could do was call animal control to pick up the dog and check for rabies and that they would have to kill my dog. instead, my family waited a couple hours and he calmed down and started acting normally again. we took that opportunity to take him to the vet. turned out he had had an epileptic seizure. my dog would have only lived to be a few months rather than the 11 yrs he lived had we gone w/ what they wanted. :\

I'd say euthanize that stupid kid for putting strange food in it's mouth. I never did that, even as a toddler, because I was taught different.
Ugh.
